I wanted to have this cube since I first saw its description in the above-mentioned book.
After 25 years waiting, my friend Hidetoshi made one for me.

Rubiks Dinosaur Cube:
While searching old Cube-Lovers mail to see if any information had been
posted about the above, I noticed that <ronnie@cisco.com> asked where
the Rubiks Dinosaur Cube might be purchased. I did not see any answers
posted. I just bought one of these last week. I got it from
Gametrends
36 W. Colorado Bl. (actually in a side alley)
Pasadena, CA
818-577-1882
I believe the price is $13.99. Before posting this, I confirmed that they
will take phone orders.
If you order one, I suggest you have them test it first. Make sure all
8 corners turn when in the initial position. The first one I got had 2
pieces stuck together which I could not free up. I had to return it.
For those who don't know what this puzzle is...
It is a cube. All 8 corners turn, rotating 3 edge pieces at a time.
There are 12 visible pieces which are the edges of the cube.
Each face has cuts accross it which look like an "X". In the solved
position, each face is a solid color.
The name Dinosaur seems to mean nothing, except that there are extra
Dinosaur decorations on the box. (Can you say Jurassic Park?)
Called DIAGONAL CUBE by David Singmaster
This is a cube divided into 12 pieces by the diagonal lines on each face. The turns turn three of these about a corner, so it behaves like the edges of an octahedron with no corner or centre pieces.
Diagonal Cube 50mm. No box or details. Bought at IPP16, 1996.
Dinosaur Rubik's Cube 50mm. As above, with dinosaur pictures on each facelet. In heavy card box labelled Dinosaur Rubik's Cube. Bought at IPP16, 1996

From the original ebay auction description:
"It's been machined from solid oak. Each piece was individually crafted, hand fitted, sanded, stained and varnished. I've also affixed a set of Cubesmith replacement stickers which I modified by removing a portion to show the wood beneath.
The puzzle is fully functional and moves very smooth. The fit is good, a little tough getting the angles perfect but it's very close. I used a warm pine stain to bring out the woods grain and finished it with three coats of clear varnish to seal each surface making the finish super durable. It's made to the same size and specifications of the original Rubiks and each piece with the exception of the internal center piece is completely custom made. All of my puzzles are one of a kind. I never duplicate any puzzle I make so the owner is guaranteed to have an original."

Mirror Blocks sticker mod a

Volitar Prime:
What I did was I gave the Mirror Blocks a really good scramble and then I applied the colored stickers as if it was solved. I took care to make sure that in either solved state, two surfaces from the other solved state aren’t next to each other. So when you have solved the colors, all of the surfaces are at different depths. Also when you solve the shape the surfaces next to each other are different colors.

This Evil Twin is #10 fullsize (I've built and sold 2 mini's also). It came out very well, probably the straightest one I've built, I don't think I could do it any better. Rubik's mini 2x2x2 cubies aren't true cubes, the edges aren't all the same length so it's really difficult to get a cube shape from non-cubes. Anyway it's a very nice puzzle and I'm going to be sad to see it go, I'm sure it's to a good home thoug (Mike - maker of the puzzle)

4x4x5 by Jin H Kim

I ended up building two fully working 4x4x5's. One was my "prototype" and one was the final product. Time consuming and repetitive, but I did enjoy building it at some level. I would enjoy building another in the future, but I'm overcommitted with other projects in and out of puzzle building as it is.
You can see pics of the stickered prototype here:
http://chrono.org/puzzles/4x4x5.html
Pictures of the "naked" 4x4x5 on that page are of the second "final" version. I recently stickered it up with good vinyl (thanks, Adam!) and I have to admit, the sucker looks downright sexy. Can I say that about a puzzle? I guess I just did. It's a sexy beast.
Here is a picture of the final stickered puzzle, next to my tiled prototype.

Want a bigger picture? Sure, why not. Same pic, bigger size:

Oh yea, the minor issue about money. $450 US. Checks, MO, paypal, or I'll even set up a private ebay auction for you. Direct paypal would be preferrable, saves me the hassle of watching for mail or setting up an auction. I'll even throw in a few extra puzzle related knick knacks as a gift the easier the transaction is for me (I'm lazy).
Includes shipping wherever postage will reach you. That means priority in the US, global express elsewhere, with some sort of tracking if possible.
I'll even insure it, but if it you're out of the US that pretty much would mean declaring value and result in a possibly hefty customs fee and delay. It's up to you. I have yet to get a report that a puzzle has arrived damaged.
If nobody wants it at that price I'll put it up on ebay in a week or two although I'd rather not.
